Bhagsu Nag, India
Seven days to step out of familiar rhythms and enter a quieter space of practice, nature, reflection, and honest human connection.
This is more than a retreat.
It is a journey into one of the most inspiring regions of the Himalayas—an experience that is difficult to create on your own.
Together, we will explore ancient mountain trails, hike through cedar forests, visit hidden waterfalls, and immerse ourselves in the unique atmosphere of Bhagsu Nag and McLeod Ganj—the home of His Holiness the Dalai Lama and the heart of the Tibetan community in India.
This land carries a rare combination of breathtaking nature and living spiritual tradition. Buddhist monasteries, prayer flags, monks, sacred temples, mountain cafés, and the rhythm of Himalayan life create an atmosphere unlike anywhere else in the world.
Our retreat weaves together daily yoga and meditation with unforgettable adventures: scenic Himalayan treks, meaningful conversations, local discoveries, and moments of silence in nature. You’ll experience the mountains not as a tourist, but as part of a carefully guided journey.
We’ve taken care of every detail so you can fully immerse yourself in the experience—moving between practice, exploration, rest, and genuine human connection.
This is an invitation not only to visit the Himalayas, but to truly experience them.
The retreat brings together practices and simple human experiences that support depth without heaviness.
This retreat is for people who want to step away from the usual rhythm of everyday life, reconnect with themselves, and experience a new place from a more intimate perspective.
It may be especially meaningful for those who:
No previous experience with yoga or meditation is required.
This retreat brings together two journeys: discovering a place more deeply and listening more closely to your own life.
Bhagsu Nag, Dharamkot, and McLeod Ganj sit above Dharamshala, where mountain paths, cedar forests, village life, and wide views create a naturally contemplative setting.
The retreat will offer time to experience the area beyond its surface: walking slowly, noticing its rhythms, meeting the local atmosphere, and discovering the place from a more intimate perspective.
The schedule is an expression of the intended journey rather than a rigid timetable. Activities may change depending on weather, local events, and the natural rhythm of the group.
Accommodation is planned in comfortable twin rooms at a calm local venue. Final venue details and room arrangements will be shared when registration opens.
Meals will be simple, nourishing, and primarily vegetarian. Dietary needs can be discussed in advance, and the final offering will explain what can be accommodated responsibly.

There are several ways to reach Dharamkot. We will help participants understand the options and coordinate the final part of the journey where possible.
Take an onward flight to Dharamshala and continue by taxi to Dharamkot.
Travel overnight to Dharamshala and continue by taxi to the retreat venue.
Clear arrival guidance and support with arranging the onward taxi will be provided before the retreat.
The easiest international route is to fly to Delhi.
From Delhi, you have two main options:
Option 1: Fly to Dharamshala
Take a domestic flight from Delhi to Dharamshala Airport. From the airport, continue by taxi to Bhagsu or Dharamkot.
Option 2: Take an overnight bus
Take an overnight bus from Delhi to Dharamshala or McLeod Ganj. From there, continue by taxi to Bhagsu or Dharamkot.
I can help you choose the best route and assist with arranging the onward travel from Delhi.
Detailed arrival information and local contact details will be shared with participants before the retreat.
No previous experience with yoga, meditation, or Yoga Nidra is required.
The retreat is open to beginners as well as people with an established practice. All sessions will be guided clearly, and variations will be offered where needed.
You only need curiosity, openness, and a willingness to take part at your own pace.
Please bring comfortable clothes for yoga and meditation, sturdy walking shoes, and warm layers for the cooler mornings and evenings. Late October is generally mild in Dharamshala, but temperatures drop noticeably after sunset, and the overnight stay at Triund will be much colder than Bhagsu or Dharamkot.
For the retreat, you should bring:
Yoga equipment and camping essentials will be arranged or confirmed before the retreat. A more detailed packing list will be shared with participants in advance.
Late October is usually one of the more pleasant times to visit Bhagsu and Dharamkot. The monsoon has largely passed, so the weather is often clearer and drier, with mild days and cool evenings.
In Bhagsu and Dharamkot, daytime temperatures are commonly around 18–22°C, while mornings and nights can drop to roughly 9–12°C. Because Dharamkot is higher and shaded by the mountains, it can feel cooler than the temperature suggests.
At Triund, the weather is considerably colder, especially after sunset. Warm layers are essential for the overnight stay, and conditions can change quickly in the mountains. Rain, strong wind, or an early cold spell are still possible, so the Triund night will depend on the local forecast and trail conditions shortly before the retreat.
In general, you can expect:
A detailed forecast and final packing advice will be shared shortly before arrival.
Yes. You are very welcome to join the retreat on your own.
Accommodation is arranged in shared twin rooms, so solo participants will usually share with another retreat guest of the same gender. Room arrangements will be discussed with participants in advance.
A deposit of 30% of the retreat price is required to confirm your place.
The remaining 70% is payable in cash upon arrival.
Your booking is confirmed once the deposit has been received.
The 30% deposit is non-refundable, as accommodation and retreat arrangements are made in advance.
If you cancel more than 30 days before the retreat, the deposit may be transferred to another participant or credited toward a future One Life in Love retreat, subject to availability.
If you cancel within 30 days of the retreat, the deposit cannot be refunded or transferred.
Once the retreat has started, no refund can be offered for missed sessions, early departure, travel delays, illness, or changes to personal plans.
In the unlikely event that the retreat must be cancelled by the organiser, all payments made directly toward the retreat will be refunded in full.
Travel costs, flights, visas, insurance, and other personal expenses cannot be reimbursed. Participants are therefore strongly encouraged to arrange suitable travel insurance.
You are welcome to join the interest list. You will receive the final dates, venue, investment, and booking details before they are shared more widely.
If you are unsure whether the retreat is right for you, you are equally welcome to ask a question.
