What Is Yoga Nidra?

Yoga Nidra is an ancient yogic practice of conscious rest.

The body enters deep relaxation while awareness remains gently present. As the nervous system settles and the mind grows quieter, a profound sense of calm can emerge.

In this space between waking and sleeping, the subconscious becomes especially receptive. Within that state, the practice can support the cultivation of peace within ourselves and, through shared intention, in the world.

When many people enter this state together, the intention of peace becomes collective.

Purpose

Why This Practice Exists

Human consciousness does not exist in isolation.

Our thoughts, emotions, and states of being participate in a wider collective field. When fear and agitation dominate the human nervous system, that tension echoes through the collective.

When calm, clarity, and peace are cultivated, that too becomes part of the shared field. This weekly practice is a simple offering toward that shift.

Peace within us becomes peace in the world.
